Javier Milei Critiques PRO Over Clean Slate Bill

President Javier Milei spoke on Thursday regarding the rejection in the Senate of the Clean Record bill, expressing his determination to persist with the initiative despite the defeat. Milei held the PRO party responsible for not providing the necessary support for approval, launching harsh criticisms at Deputy Silvia Lospennato.

After the vote on Wednesday in the Senate, where the project was rejected, a series of accusations ensued among different political sectors. During his participation in the Latam economic forum, President Milei addressed the controversy by accusing PRO of covering up for Cristina Kirchner and questioning their lack of action regarding the Clean Record during their management in Buenos Aires and President Mauricio Macri's administration.

At the event, which was attended by figures such as the Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei, Health Minister Mario Lugones, and Deputy Lilia Lemoine, the President reaffirmed his commitment to the parliamentary path to turn the project into law, highlighting that the fight against corruption is paramount for his administration.

Deputy Lospennato, for her part, held President Milei responsible for the project's failure and expressed her discontent, while the Head of State clarified that certain signatures were needed to ensure the project's treatment in the Senate.

Amid the controversy, Silvia Lospennato criticized La Libertad Avanza for the defeat of the Clean Record project, which was rejected in the Senate by a single vote. However, President Milei reaffirmed his determination to continue fighting for the approval of the law: 'I will keep fighting.'
